'The Great Reformer Francis and the Making of a radical Pope.' A new book by Austen Ivereigh. 1st March in the Truro Church Hall, meet the author lunch at 1.00 pm (bring a dish to share) followed by a talk at 2.00 pm and a book signing.

Parish Lent Course: Priest, Prophet, King. The better we understand Jesus, the better we understand ourselves. But who was Jesus, this itinerant preacher whom many called the Messiah? In this Lent course, you’ll discover Jesus as the Anointed One–the ultimate priest, prophet, and king foreshadowed throughout the Hebrew Scriptures. Using biblical insights and engaging stories, Father Robert Barron affirms that we see Jesus most clearly through the lens of the Old Testament. Through this presentation of  you will better understand Jesus, become more familiar with Scripture, and realize your own priestly, prophetic, and kingly mission. The topics of the talks are: week 1. Adoratio: Adam as Priest; wk2. The High Priest; wk3. Challenging False Worship: Elijah the Prophet; wk4. The Word Made Flesh; wk5. Ordering the Kingdom: King David; wk6. King of Kings. Video link
